Hi all new member. Just bought my new v7 racer yesterday get Itdelivered in a week or two as I don't have open licence yet. When I had my Le mans 1000 25 years ago we never worried about licences or insurance but it's a different story now. Hope to get time after Xmas to get licence. Bought it without even taking it for a test ride or telling the wife. She'll find out when she finds it in the garage. Also getting the arrow pipes fitted and end bar mirrors.

Congrats on the purchase. I would check out what Todd has to offer for mufflers and full systems before you purchase the arrows. The arrows are overpriced in my opinion and Todd's V7 mufflers are top quality build, if not better than the arrows, and are less expensive. Plus the sound is wayyyyyy better.

Thanks Franco, agreed on all, and that's not even speaking of the power delivery differences, as the OEM offered Arrows have the cat-cons and non-removable db-killers.
On that note, as a Arrow dealer, I can get one pair of Arrow without cats for $900/pair for anyone interested. Contact me direct e-mail; Todd at GuzziTech.com

Congratulations on your purchase and after the wife finds out there is always a bed over here if you need to leave in a hurry!

Thanks for the offer of the bed but I don't think I'll need it. The house is finally tiled and I started dropping a few hints. I'm getting the arrows fitted didnt have time to look around if I don't like them I'll change them later just didn't want it with standard mufflers on. Also just found some old shirts I thought I had worn out.

Maybe I'll see you around - I've not seen another V7 Racer since I got mine in June... The Racer is a super fun bike, went up Tamborine today to try and beat the heat (not much luck up there -it was still 32).

Two people (that we know of) took pictures of the bikes when they were parked today (my partner has a California 1400) - so funny!

I just got my R open licence a few months ago (L plate visible on back of bike in avatar picture is now gone!) after riding a Vespa 250 GTVie on a RE licence for years.

Congrats on your purchase and welcome back to riding. I'm sure you'll enjoy the bike it's really a lot of fun. I have the Arrows w/ Cats and I'm very happy with them. One gotcha to look for is the clutch cable routing. Many bikes had the cable resting or lodged in the cooling fins resulting in melting and cable failure. Easy fix is just zip tie it up and out of the way. My biggest gripe is the poor suspension. Todd has many options for improving that as well. I've installed the Matris kit and working on getting it sorted out. Just ride it for awhile before you go nuts with stuff, you may find its fine just the way it is.

It got delivered today and took it for a quick spin around the block. going to be a fun bike. I Like the sound of the arrows I don't want it much louder.Forgot how good the Motto Guzzi feels to ride.

Just installed a set of Napoleon bar end mirrors. Just had to cut the end of the mount off that goes inside the bar and turned a recess in the mount on the lathe so it would fit neatly over the end of the bar and have no gap between the hand grip.

Hi Everyone - Just to introduce myself, I am Pete from Wellington New Zealand.

I picked up my brand spanking new V7 racer the other day. I am in Wellington , New Zealand. I love it! I had a Triumph Thruxton before for 11 yrs, did 150,000kms on No problem. I am nearing retirement so thought "Why Not!"
I saw the V7 about a year ago, its the only bike I ever thought straight off when I saw it "I want one!"
Now I have one! It is number 1870.
I must say it is typically Italian design, absolutely sexy, as one of my mates put it, and I totally agree.it is well finished, attention to detail. Superb.

It isnt the most powerful of bikes, but hey, its plenty powerful for me. It turns heads, people ask questions. first thing I did was to remove the cowl off the rear of the seat. It looks so much better. Next thing was give it a polish then at last, ride it.
I must admit it is more vibey than the trumpie but thats the nature of the beast. Got to go, check on my sexy Italian! Pete.

Congratulations on getting your bike I felt exactly the the same way you did but didn't wait a year as soon as I saw it I bought it. The more I ride it I the more I enjoy it.the only problem I've found with it what took me 5 minutes in the car to go to the shop now takes me an hour on the bike. Here's how I would of liked the rear of the bike to look like. Image
