I've been lurking around a bit, and decided it was time to say Hi! Picked up an (almost) brand new '16 Stornello (N. 544) last month.
Hey Scott, congrats and welcome to the Guzzi Famiglia and GT Forum! Thanks for posting. I combined your post here with the Registry thread, so hope you'll add your VIN# and related for the first post here. Per the paragraphs in red at the top of the page here, all of your questions are likely well answered, you just have to spend a little time reading. Hope to see you here posting often! Be sure to click on the STORE tab at the top of the page as well.

Hey guys,
I've been lurking around a bit, and decided it was time to say Hi! Picked up an (almost) brand new '16 Stornello (N. 544) last month. Only 70 miles on the odo! I'm coming from the world of belt driven metric cruisers, so there is a bit of a learning curve. Planning on doing the break in service myself in a few hundred miles. Any tips? Anything I should look out for? What are some good first mods? I'm thinking I'm going to need the reflash tool... the stock fuel map seems a little rough.
I am really looking forward to this new journey!
Ride safe!
Scott

VIN# ZGULDU02XLM000222- Ken, Barrington, RI- D.O.P. 2.21 Hello all! Happy to finally add my bike. Mods: OEM engine guards, Racer saddle, red plug covers, Givi flyscreen, OEM center-stand, HB lift handle, trimmed rear plate mount. I paused riding about 20 years ago. Came from Honda VFR750 and a VTR1000. As a college student I road an RD350 Yamaha back in the 70's. I am a long time fan of Italian design/art/heritage. I also ride and love Italian Colnago bicycles (C64 and a restored 70's vintage Super). They are hand made in Italy like my Guzzi. I have more time to ride now that I am retired (college professor for 30 years). Perhaps I will see you out and about.

Hi Ken, congrats and welcome to the Guzzi Famiglia and GT Forum! RD/RZ350 owners typically found their way onto the NT650 (Hawk) then a SV650 (and a rare few to the VTR1000). I still own the former.
Guzzi hooked me hard once I wound down my Pro Racing career; https://www.guzzitech.com/forums/threads/roperville-ah-todd-bio.20231/ -- anyway, hope to see you here posting often. The MGNOC Mass Chapter is fairly active for rides and meets; nemotorcycle.groups.io/g/NEMotoGuzzi/topics

Thanks Todd and many thanks for this site- excellent information. I will likely do slip ons and your re-flash after my break-in and first service.
Also, thanks for the link to my regional group. I'll connect.

Looks like I'll add the first recorded V7 850 to the registry! VIN# ZGUKZUB05MM000008 . My location is Coatesville, PA and my local dealer is Motoplex in West Chester, PA. I feel fortunate to have an excellent dealer just 14 miles from home.

Mods so far are bar end mirrors, Pazzo levers, and H-B center stand (I swapped them over from my traded in V7III) Yes, the H-B center stand from the earlier models does fit the V7 850 no issues. Couldn't reuse my Mistral silencers, however ... seems the diameter of the 850 header pipes is exactly the same as the inlets on the Mistrals ... so ... they just butt up against each other. Bummer ... the Mistral shorties will hit feebay soon. Date of purchase 05/12/21

No pics yet, just this one I snapped in the showroom, just before I pulled the trigger on the deal.

Is that the "stock" tank logo for Slovakia ?
Very nice !

Good Day
Yes she is all stock with the exception of the the saddle which was added by the previous owner, I think the seat is what they called the two up seat for the V7 II Racer hence the red stitching, which look's great with the red tank.
Thank you for the compliments.
Take Care
