Can I easily swap the tank on my V7iii with one from an earlier bike?

I found a Legnano green tank that I would like to swap. It includes the fuel pump but the pump location is different.

Does anyone know if the "early" tank fit the frame and the fuel line and wiring reach?

thanks

They'll swap, but the gas cap will be a costly challenge for you if that's not included. All the rest is plug and play, but the V7 III tank is a little larger, so the seat may fit oddly where they meet.

thanks for the info.

the green tank in fact is missing the gas cap. And after a quick search there are none for sale online.
Is the gas cap an obsolete part? Any aftermarket ones or used ones I can find?

eBay of course, and available new (email me direct; Info at GuzziTech.com), but costly and you'll be fighting the keyed lock. I do offer this to solve the problem; https://gtmotocycles.com/products/gt-gas-cap-key-knob

I am still searching for an inexpensive gas cap.

Are all the 5 hole gas caps and rings interchangeable or model specific (Cali, V7, V11)?

I’ve seen a few Cali gas caps on eBay for much less than V7
