Anyone up for a run up Angeles Crest Highway (ACH) this coming Sunday (06/03/18)?

The plan is to meet up at 9:30 (kickstands up 9:45 - or as soon as everyone arrives) and to run up Angeles Crest Highway (Hwy 2) from La Cañada to Wrightwood. Arrive early at the meet-up spot to grab coffee and a bite.

The ride itself is a quick 1.5 hour run in each direction - a little faster on the way back! - and 63 miles of carving twisties! Unlike the Crystal Lake run that we did 2 weeks ago (Hwy 39), there is nothing too technical, which means it's a nice steady pace the entire way.

Meet-up location: Up for a vote, but...

I suggest Little Flower Coffee in Pasadena.
Nice feel. Easy to get to from any direction. Plentiful parking. Coffee and pastries.
But the best reason to meet here is the warm up ride through the San Rafael hills to get to the base of ACH. Brings us right pass the ArtCenter College of Design, the alma mater of Miguel Galluzzi, designer of the Ducati Monster and the V7 Racer - as well as the Tuono (noted for Beau1K ; ) - Miguel still works in Pasadena at the Piaggio Advanced Design Center and has been known to be seen around!

There are several easy gas stops before getting to the Little Flower whether coming from the west on the 134 (Chevron at Figueroa and Colorado) or from the south up the 110 (Chevron at York and Ave 64). And finally, there's a last minute gas stop at the base of the ACH at Shell on Angeles Crest Hwy and Foothill.

Shell is also the alternative meet-up spot.

(Vote for your preference of meet-up spots below.)

So far we have 3 bikes going - two V7Rs and a V9 Roamer.
Let's get more!

Cheers!

Bump!
Just bumping this to the top of the non-pinned threads since the weekend is coming up and people are making plans.
Anyone with a V7 or V9 - or any small block Guzzi - is welcome and invited to join!

If you don't have one... rent one from Todd (www.RideMalibu.com) for the day and come out and join us! ;)

You guys are killin' me, as I sit here in Northern California: wish I could join! I'm having a hell of a time trying to get Nor-Cal Guzzisti to get out for rides...
Have fun!

Sweet! See u and everybody else tomorrow!
If I'm reading this right you're I Huntington beach. If yes I'm just south of you here in CDM/Newport Beach. Perhaps we should ride up together tomorrow? Hit me up if interested 949.424.9126. Guess everyone has my mobile now ;p

Indeed it was great and I'm definitely up for an OC ride!

Godfrey & Midnite: I'm likely headed north in a few weeks for WSB at Laguna Seca; let me know if by chance either of you are planning to go!
