Hi gize,

Had my bike out of service for nearly 3 weeks with the battery removed. The only electrical thing I did was remove the O2 sensors from my exhaust. Todd's new ECU map is supposed to have them shut off. I used electrical tape to ensure that they are sealed from the elements.

1. Did the few things I wanted, including removing the O2 sensors.
2. Put it all back together and started the engine - the "engine" light stayed on.
3. Re-flashed the ECU with a recent new map from Todd - same result.
4. Ensured that throttle stop/zero (or what ever it's called) was re-set.
5. Deleted and error codes that were there.

The owners' manual has no info what-so-ever. (Almost:rolleyes:) any suggestions would be warmly welcomed.

Cheers

ps Will Todd's Flash Tool turn off that little spanner showing in my pic?

As I understood it the O2 sensors are null by the fuel map. You covered the lambda sensors hole mounts with tape?

Btw, for those bereft of mirth, I taped up the electrical plugs with electrical tape, and wire-ties, and hid them well away from view. I did a real good job of it and am rather hoping that there's a solution that doesn't involve having to undo all my good work. There's no obvious detrimental effect on how the bike runs.

Please always email me direct on map questions.
Unfortunately only a dealer can reset the Service spanner as of now for on V7 III models.

1. Did you get a code?
2. I used Todd’s ECU Tool to clear the CEL,
3. never had a spanner before though.
Thanks for your response.

1. I don't know what code you mean, or from where. I guess that's a no :shake:.
2. What's a CEL? Never had a bike before with all this new fangled electronic stuff.
3. The little vertical "spanner" which appears on the far left of the LCD to tell you that a scheduled service is due. It's small and unobtrusive, but would like it gone if at all possible.

Cheers
