V9 first service

Reading through the manual, it appears that the first service on the V9 is a little different that what's been done in the past on the V7. I am posting this just as a sanity check as my eyes are not what they used to be and the Guzzi-chosen 3-pt font for the manual is just a little hard to read.

So, it looks like the first service is at 900 miles rather than 600 miles?
And, no headbolt re-torque is required?

If so, I suppose thats good news! Anyone had it done yet? Also, I noticed that the manual states that full performance is not available until after the run-in service has been completed. Does that mean that it shouldn't be fully utilized or that something is going to unlock additional performance following the run-in service (ECU, etc)?

I recommend downloading the Guzzi app even if not paired with your bike as it includes a copy of the manual. Nice to have on the phone!

In an effort to extend service interval complaints, perhaps. 600-1000 miles is fine. The base and head gaskets are metal on the V9, so re-torque (theoretically) not needed. Nothing changes post run-in, just that Guzzi does not recommend full throttle running during break-in, but I subscribe to MotoMan's research HERE. I raced on fresh-built motors, and there's no break-in had.
