I bought a V9 Roamer a few weeks ago. It was delivered but only with 1 key. I was told second key would be mailed. In the mean time the display showed the General Alarm Condition "1 Key Alarm". Yes, only one key is programmed into the bike.
I received the second key as promised, I set a code for the key but the 1 Key Alarm never goes away. Not only that but when using the second key I have to enter the user code every time.
My question is does anyone know how to get the bike to recognize that a second key has been programmed so that alarm goes away. The dealer has been no help with this, does not know what the problem is. Says he's looking into it.
Anyone encountered this with a Roamer or Bobber or any other newer Guzzi that requires two keys be programmed?

Sounds like a trip to the dealer is in order. If a CARC bike we could help you.,

Sounds to me that you only have 1 key programmed, still. It should do 2 keys, one after the other, right away.
    You can't do 1 at a time.

What is it with dealers? I got both keys but no tool kit with my Bobber. And no manual. I get the "set code" before startup but luckily it starts anyway. I have no idea what the code is. Hans, if you find out any info on programming please post it.

Sounds like it is asking you to set a user code. There is a V9 owners manual in the downloads. I suggest you contact your dealer for the tool kit and a printed manual.

Thanks John, but I already got the manual. As for the code, I'll just keep ignoring it. It's enough of a victory to have gotten it to show miles instead of km.

Set a code that you will remember before one is accidentally set for you. It's a real pain to find the code after the event.
