Hey,

Anyone have any experience with Vey's Powersports in Lakeside? I had never heard of them before, and just happened to stumble on their website the other day. Dropped in, and found that they have four new Guzzi's on the floor including a red Norge and (more importantly for me) a black Stelvio (also a Griso and a Nevada). They also had a fleet of shiny new Shivers and Tuonos.

But I was not that impressed with them as a Guzzi dealer, certainly not to the point where I would want to switch from GP. Looks like they are more focused on ATVs and watercraft, so I'm not sure how Guzzi and Aprilla really fit in there - but if someone has more knowledge than just my one visit, I'd like to hear it.

If nothing else I was finally able to sit on a Stelvio, which has confirmed my desire to get one. But I think I would rather ask GP to order me one (really, I'd rather get the TT/NTX version if its going to show at some point) rather than switching dealers. Although Vey's is much closer to home than GP.

Hey Jim, welcome back!

I had an e-mail exchange with Vey's about a year ago when I stumbled on a Craig's List ad they had there. Your assumption is correct in that they are a very New-to-Guzzi dealer, and likely were forced to take the marque when they took on Aprilia or Vespa.

Not trying to steer you away, but Paul at GP always mentions that he'll do his best to give the best price he can on a new Guzzi. I'd definitely try them as well.

Hope to see you out and about again soon!
