I've sourced replacements but I am curious about these tires that came with my 1965 MG Lodola GT. If you have some thoughts on their age, I'd appreciate it.

Look for a DOT date. It should be located in an oval and a 4 digit number. First two numbers are month of manufacture, second two are year. If only 3 made before 2000. Any tire over 5 years old should not be used. From the pictures, I'd say they are to old to ride on based on condition of the rubber.

I would think they are quite old because of the size markings. They are 3.00 x 17. Modern tires are usually metric or alphanumeric.
Having said that, I see that Michelin still makes the Rapido tire in imperial sizes for older bikes. Perhaps not in that size though.
