I need someone to work on my 95 Sport, The tranny is removed as well as other parts. I would like new gaskets, steel caged roller bearings, and shifter shimmed, rebuild carbs, new clutch. new rear main seal for the engine, I have most of the parts Someone in the Twin Cities area would be great I can deliver whole bike and parts

Good luck. Your chances of somebody COMPETENT, undertaking this job, is truly SLIM.

It’s a mechanic’s nightmare and almost all of us avoid working on torn apart machinery because there are always missing pieces, etc.

It is truly a living hell to do this type of job.

LOL, tell us how you really feel Scott. :D

I'm kind of with Scott on this. Taking in a bike that is in pieces is a nightmare. I will only do it for people that understand the issues with this type of job. And Sorville. the gearbox needs steel cage double row ball bearings, not roller bearings. Also at my age I am getting picky on what I will undertake. Being on the wrong side of 70 there are now some jobs I won't do.

I ripped mine apart to do clutch and gearbox ,online ducumrnts from guzziology helped a lot ,heads have to come off to get engine out before splitting off gearbox

No need to remove heads. On the spine bikes it is possible to remove just the gearbox, or the engine, or you can drop them out as a unit.
