Griso got it's first re-fuel last week. After filling up and turning the ignition on, I noticed a fuel icon on the LCD. I am not talking about the reserve light but an actual icon kinda like this

on the LCD just beside the ignition light. The reserve light and the fuel icon went away a few seconds later. I came home and looked for this icon in the manual and on the forums but didn't find any reference to it. So did I imagine it ?

No, it's there. I've always just ignored it though.
I believe it's counting the distance from when the fuel light went on, since I think there is a km readout beside it when it comes on. Again, this is just my impression, since I've never relied on or looked at it, and just headed for the closest fuel pump when the light comes on. So I may be mistaken about the function it serves.

oh well..at least I didn't imagine it. However, if the icon is for remaining distance, it should have been there even before I filled up the tank. It only showed up AFTER I refueled (at least I think it did). I'll watch more closely next time.

If you ride until the fuel light comes on solid then the dash will start counting your miles to give you an idea of when you will be pushing the bike. On my 2007 Griso the counter counts up to tell you how many miles you have done with the fuel light on. While it is doing this that fuel pump icon will be on. Other vehicles count down, presumably to an empty tank. Some prefer that but I am happy with the way my Griso works. I would rather know how many miles I have done then rely on the dashes best guess of how many miles until empty.
