Weatherproof my new Griso ?

With all my other motorcycles/vehicles I tend to apply dielectric grease on electrical connectors that are known to corrode.
And I apply anit-seize to exposed items such as brake caliper bolts and lug nuts on trucks on which the rims don't have hub caps.

Are there any particular electrical connections or other items on Grisos that people have found to need weatherproofing ?
I've been researching. And I've found mention of the ECU, spark plug boots, and speedometer sensor on Grisos. Anything else ?
 
Don't mention dielectric grease around Wayne. Use a product that doesn't out gas. If he reads this post he will probably mention something. So far, the only wide spread weather related problem has been speedometer sensors. Weather proofing yours may be a good idea. If it is a current model year Griso, it may not be necessary as the sensor was improved. Check the posts on the forum. As for the hardware, I do recommend removing the pinch bolts for the front axle and coating with an anti seize compound. The are small and I've seen problems with them in the past. If your engine is dual plugged, anti seize for the inner spark plug also. As for the other components, you can do them during normal servicing. I wouldn't recommend an anti seize for the rear wheel bolts, lubricating them would lead to incorrect torquing as dry torque is a different specification from oiled (lubricated) torque and the spec for the rear wheel is for dry torque. I'd make sure the ECU ground wire makes a good connection to the ECU, then perhaps seal with RTV. I know of one Griso that fried it's ECU due to a poor ground there. Also there have been issues with instrument clusters, but I haven't seen any posts on this problem lately.

If you haven't replaced the spark plug cables with the NGK caps, be sure to wrap several turns of electrical tape around the part of the cable that sits in the recess in the valve cover (beneath the finisher that you screw on). I have found that rain easily enters that area and shorts the ignition pulse to the valve cover and you misfire (the stock cable insulation is crap and easily cracked). The tape is enough to prevent that issue until you upgrade to NGK caps.
 
i have attacked every electrical connection i can get at with windscreen silicone,I was storing my storing it in a rather damp garage at work but have stopped it as it doesn't seem to like this, prefers a couple of hours in the hot sun if possible, trying to work through this,isolate the reason, slowly replacing all sensors. Intermittingly runs rough and this seems to be connected to amount of moisture around, may be in my mind of course.
