What are the differences from the 16's to 17's?

If I end up staying with the eldo seat and not convert to the California I will most likely be getting that backrest. Looks very nicely made for sure
I currently have a 2016 Eldorado and am having to hardest time finding a passenger seat with back rest for it. Everything I have read talks about purchasing a Corbin seat or switching everything over to California Seats for that big box back rest. Is it possible to get more information on the back rest you refer to here? And where it might be available.
Thanks

Mine is just horrible at any speed. And I'm not wanting to be one of those guys with the music blaring so everybody within a mile can hear. even when I took it to the local dealer for the brake recall the tech told me the other mgx21 customer had the same complaint. He did hook up a new program tool he just got and adjust some settings or something along those lines and got it to remember the station and settings when I turn the key on again, and that was nice.
He said he thinks the problem is I need a amplifier, which don't make sense to me because it seems like it has the power to push the speakers, its just the speakers start sounding like their blown when you start turning the volume up. When the engine isn't running and my surroundings are quiet, at low volume the speakers sound good. Nice and bassy and clear. And its the same weather I'm listening to the radio or music on the USB drive.
Maybe I will do a video tommorow and post it
Last year I purchased a Boss motorcycle speaker system that connects by Bluetooth to my phone or iPod. I drilled a hole in the bottom of the left side plastic battery cover for a volume control as well as a hole on the bottom of the right side plastic battery cover for a toggle switch that will disconnect everything if I'm just enjoying the ride in silence (to save the system constantly searching for a signal). I mounted the 2 speaker system on the handlebars, and quite possibly due to the fact I have a windshield, I find the music very clear. When I come to a stop, hit traffic or a residential area I can just reach down to adjust the volume so I'm not "that guy". Highly recommend it.

I'm sold out of the small custom batch run I did; https://gtmotocycles.com/products/gtm-california-eldo-1400-backrest ($895) -- as they were painfully expensive to make, and took me ~5 years to sell 5. So, that said, if enough interest in a few, I could do another small batch run. Chroming along was ~$200/per back rest, so if I can ship them uncoated or powder-coated, that would help reduce the cost significantly, as I can't even imagine what the cost is in today's inflated world. If truly interested, ping me direct email only; Info @GuzziTech.com - do not reply to me here.

Late reply, but I did some extensive search on the internet and gtm was the only option I ever found

Hi, Ed in Ontario. You may have bought the same sound system I have been looking at for around $500 USD on sale (company initials SHA). I have a '14 California Touring bike with a windshield and Todd's custom exhaust so I am looking for a loud stereo for highways. Do you have any concerns about how many amps your system draws on the bike? Any electrical quirks you have run into? I want to be sure that I don't blow out my alternator or anything else out in the middle of nowhere. Thanks!

They have a pretty powerful alternator , The worst you would do is blow a fuse (that you put in the feed line ). Peter

Thank you for your feedback. The stars are aligning. Now all I need is a really good cassette deck and I will be riding in style.
