What do your Toni seat bracket tabs look like?

Because mine looks like this:

I talked to Mike over at Harper's, and he said something about them looking like a bird's head... maybe from the front? I dunno if it's an idiot PO thing, or a cop thing (I have a G5 PD model), but I am looking to move away from the solo saddle, and I'd love to know how I should mod these tabs.

Thanks!

It looks like someone welded them on to use the solo saddle. Factory setup was a bunch of brackets to give you mounting tabs for the solo seat. The dual seat also uses a bracket that bolts to the frame and shock mount to provide the mounting tabs for the dual seat. I do hate it when someone takes an arc welder to the frame instead of getting the factory parts to do the job right.

OK, I found this picture (nice bike!)

Ohhh yeah, totally does look like a bird. Think I'm gonna have to cut them out of steel and weld them on, because mine have been ground off to a point where they'd be more work to salvage than to start from scratch. Can someone post dimensions of the bird's head for me so I can make something that fits? Looking for:

- Height from frame rail to top of bird skull
- Width from back of bird skull to forehead/beginning of beak slope
- Width from back of bird skull to tip of beak
- Width of straight portion below beak

Thanks.

Now with the picture I remember those tabs. Nothing bolts to them with the two passenger seat. They go up into the seat pan to provide stability. On the original pan (at least T and T-3) there is a rod on the bottom that can be placed in the hole to keep the seat up. Something like the hood rod for a car.
