What tools?

I've just returned from the south of France and this is what I took with me; spanners/wrenches 8mm to 19mm open/ring

a decent pair of pliers, a duel screwdriver, ratchet and a selection of sockets, 30mm for front wheel. All wrapped up in a tool roll and kept in a tool tube fastened to the bike. Alan keys, pen knife and a few bits an bobs under the seat. Don't forget any special one off tools that came with the bike and a plug spanner.

windy

I just carry the standard tool kit, tire plugs and a pump. I need to also carry tools to get the wheels off, but haven't bothered with that yet.

I add the same tools to most of my toolkits, whether it be for the dirtbike or streetbike.
sockets: 8mm, 10mm, 12mm
open/box wrench:8mm, 10mm, 12mm, and any other size you see prevalent on the bike.
My 1200 Sport had a torx bit, I have a full set on the workbench and carried the one I might need someday on the bike.
A handfull of smallish allen wrenches depending on what you need for bodywork fasteners...
A Gerber or Leatherman multi-tool....Petzl headlamp for both hands free at night type work.
Various tire plugs (gooey felt work for me best), a reamer/install tool, glue, and a Slime pump with adapters to an SAE or Coax pigtail on my battery.
