My Breva 1100 is idling high once it warms up. Not just alittle high, High, like 2500-3000 once warm.

As far as I caan see, the stupid stepper-motor hose is attached to the bottom of the airbox. What an idiotic design element. It should just be a manual button to push. I thought I understood that the whole stepper-motor problem is just surging at idle. Like 1200-1600 or something. My bike is gradually building up until it's idling at 2500-3000 - seems like the warmer it gets the higher it wants to idle.

I've spent quite a bit of time looking at the 5 different pdf manuals I have (none of them say anything abut the model year - typical) I've also been wandering through the forum looking for ideas. There's loads of info here, but it's pretty hard to find sometimes...

It's really bugging me that the ridiculously high idle occurred AFTER I installed Todd's PC5, AT etc etc. Along with a reflashed ECU. I really hope I don't have to take that thing out again - what a royal pain that was.

So just in case I'm totally stupid, I removed the snorkel - would that make a difference? There's quite the spaghetti of hoses in there - if a 6mm hose was misconnected or disconnected, would that cause this problem?

Any advice would be appreciated

Ian

Ian, I got your direct email this morning. Responding directly now. It will be something simple, I'm sure of it.
