Is anyone aware of a WIDE lever set that would fit the California?

I am looking for something similar to this which I had for my Royal Star Tour Deluxe:

My reason for wanting this is that after a recent 8000 mile ride I now have three fingers on my left hand that lost the feeling. I think it is from over-use of the skinny OEM clutch lever. The California is the first motorcycle I have owned that caused an injury like this for me.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

At one time I was diagnosed with "carpal tunnel".
Same thing as you the fingers on the left hand would go numb & at times I would drop stuff, that got dangerous when working with hi speed tools.
Now the levers on your bike may be contributing to the problem but probably are not the actual cause.
The muscles you use to pull that lever go all the way up your arm, past the neck & down your back.

My wife is a therapist and she is very good at what she does.
The actual problem was a set of nerves that were being pinched under the scapula.
She would actually raise the scapula, move the nerves & reset the scapula.
This was only a temporary fix until I retrained my posture habits.
Once I taught myself how to do things differently then her treatments became less needed.

Try to watch how you do things like sitting at a desk or computer with your shoulders rounded, hunched forward.
Reading in bed, eating breakfast, standing & talking, lifting things.
Become very aware of how you are putting pressure on your neck, shoulders & scapula.
You may be surprised.

That was almost 20 years ago & I never did the surgery everyone was urging me to do.

Thanks for the advice. I'll look into what you suggest. I understand what you mean.

My thinking that was because I had not had this problem with other bikes, and I have ridden consecutive 500 miles days for weeks in the past on them, was that the bike is the problem. And that may still be a contributing factor. But, as you state, it may have more to do with my posture on this particular bike.

I'd suggest looking at some other bikes' levers at a bike gathering or dealership. Sometimes they use the same controls. For instance, Kawasaki Drifter/Vulcan adjustable levers work on my Excelsior-Henderson, which did not have adjustable levers from the factory.

Yeah, I'll be doing that. I think I will need to look for levers from European bikes though as they seem to be different than the Japanese bikes.
