...Will a 4-valve 1200 engine fit in my Stelvio? waiting for a cam for six weeks now...no end in sight...and...when we button up the left bank, I have to decide whether to go into the right bank at my expense unless it turns out that it, too needs follower and/or cam replacement....which will be another untold number of weeks with no ride....Evidently Guzzi did only a cursory long-term testing of this valve train...WTF...and to think I bought this Stelvio(which I LOVE) with the thought in mind of Guzzis legendary strength and reliability of engines...
 
Well, fabrication brackets will have to be made for one but more importantly, you'll have to get an ECU for that motor (from a donor bike?) and mate everything with the rest of the electronics.
I'm sure there will be plenty of other stuff that'll need to be addressed...
It's doable but it will be painful and if you pay someone to do the swap, you'll be in for the price of a new bike. :S
