That's it for this year, the bike's wrapped up nice and snug for the winter. Took it out for a final ride today, 8 to 9 degrees c and damp air but at least the roads were dry. Only 75 miles on the new engine, so 425 to go 'til the service. It's a pity I missed a lot of the good riding weather 'cos since getting it back time and other matters have stopped me using it as much as I wanted to. Never mind, there's always next year. :)

Sadly yes.
Bike's in the blue body-bag since 3 weeks ago, and today I changed for the winter-tires on the cars.

*groan*

I haven't riden since July, due to an injury. The Targa has been under a cover since I bought it in October. I can now get my foot on the pegs but still too painful to ride.
I think about another 2-3 weeks. By then no doubt we will be up to our necks in snow. I can normally ride all year but I think this will be a bad winter.

I hear you all. I've stopped riding for the year too. I've got a friend or two who claim to keep riding until the snow falls, but I'll wait for spring.

Well, with some luck we’ll be riding here throughout the year, though the last 2 weeks have been out of bounds due to terrible gales going through. Incredibly windy and rainy.

I hate really windy conditions and avoid them if possible.
I remember years ago on a back road in N France, you had to lean the bike to the left to go straight it was that bad. Nothing worse than having the bike shift across the road and you have little or no control of it.

I can remember having the same experience on a Honda 175 coming back down the M4 from Wiltshire with my Missis on the back. Spent most of the ride with both of us hanging off the side hoping the wind didn't suddenly drop! :woohoo:

Next week it's here -3 at day and -8 at night. . . hopefully I can have a last ride tomorrow before the salt is on the roads. :(

Lots of the UK is covered in snow, salting and gritting everywhere.
No snow yet where I live in the SE Corner. It's about a month early this year, temeratures a little higher than the Netherlands but not much.
