I just picked up another 72 Eldorado at a garage sale this weekend and between the two have all the cool Wixom stuff. The first bike I bought had the saddle bags, racks, and chrome guards. This garage sale one has the Wixom fairing and lowers, and the rear top case.

I have no issues knowing how the saddle bags, guards and rear top case mount because it is obvious and they were on the bikes. BUT .......

Does anyone have any instructions, pictures, or any other advice about how to mount the fairing and lowers? These were off the bike and in a pile of parts in the corner of the garage. Probably modified by many previous owners and who knows if they are even original or for the 72 Eldorado.

I am thinking of keeping one stripped down to the basics and dressing the other one up for the prom.

Hi Marc,

Congrats on the find. I don't have the info you're looking for - the only thing I can think of is joining the MGNOC, if you're not a member already, to get access to the newsletters from the '70's. There's tons of tips for the loop frame bikes there and adverts for Wixom products. Maybe there's a former dealer out there with factory literature. You might even post an ad requesting the info some members there not on the forums might contact you.

Also, check Gregory Bender's ThisOldTractor.com

Good luck.
