Wouldn't start - help, suggestions !!

Update

Towed the bike to the dealer this morning and the first thing the mechanic did was check for errors (ECU & Dashboard) through the speedo cluster, the bike showed none!

Mechanic tried to start the bike with the Axeone and a electronic TB balancer hooked up and the bike would not start the first three times he attempted, the next time it did and it ran like sh*t. The Axeone did not show any errors when the bike didn't start, but showed an error (O2 sensor) when running, but the error didn't store when the bike was shut off.

So........I left the bike with the mechanic scratching his head in wonderment. He said he was going to have to call tech support on Tuesday to get some assistance on this problem. He is not sure if the problem is a bad 02 sensor, a bad ECU because the error didn't store or both.

Something tells me they will tell him to replace the 02 sensor and see what happens and I will be without a bike for a couple weeks while they play parts swap to see what repairs the problem. I will keep you all posted :S

An O2 error on a cold bike is probably a normal thing. It takes about 5 minutes for them to get up to temperature.

Hope then can figure it out.

I have found the hard fuel line kinked on Stelvios (2), if the quick disconnect is not facing in the right direction (forward) and it was running like %<>?@#*

Wayne,

Got the bike back on Sat., it was raining like hell so I just threw it on a trailer and dragged it home. The bike does start and run now, that's better than when I delivered it. Now I have the old........ it will start when cold and proceeds to die, it will restart and continue to idle but is runs real ruff until it gets warm.

According to the mechanic it has the correct stepper motor values and the TPS and Sync is dead on.

Needless to say I am less than pleased. :(

I am used to FI cars and bikes being able to be started and pull away from the curb........not letting them idle for 5 minutes to warm up. Am I asking to much from my Italian Beast  :S

Of course we have to be as demanding on Guzzi that the Nippon drivers are on their machines!
Else, the Guzzi will stop flying soon.

UPDATE !!!!

New 02 sensor and the beast runs good, close to great :D :D :D

I checked the dash for ECU and dashboard errors before dropping the bike off and while the bike was at the shop and it showed nothing, the AXONE did show the 02 sensor had an error. They tested it and it tested bad, took 10 days to get the sensor. They also checked the map for the lastest and greatest, set the TPS and Sync.........no charge   That's my type of price!
