Wrong service code on my Griso 8V

Tried to remove the service spanner on my 8V today, to my surprise I could only enter 5 digits.
8V service code is 854378, 6 digits.
I then tried the 4V service code (12425, 5 digits) and could enter the menu and remove the spanner.

My computer obvious is running on 4V software....

Now the question, am I running the right mapping on my 8V or could my bike be running on a 4V mapping?
Will the Axone (for a mapping update) recognise my 8V or think it's a 4V model?

Nah. 12425 is the right code for all the Grisos. Dunno where the other # came from. I seem to remember it was printed somewhere. maybe even in the service manual, but 12425 works for all of 'em, 2 and 4 valve PC. It is extraordinarily unlikely the 8V motor would run at all well with the 1100 map in it and the code is interpreted by the dashboard rather than the ECU I believe and all the Griso dashes are the same I think.

Thanks Pete I was hoping you would reply... :)
I found the 8V code on this forum and could not believe my eyes when I saw it wouldn't fit.
