Has anyone seen or done an exhaust similar to the Xfire on a V7? Im just a huge fan of how that looks coming out from the bottom and dumping just before the rear tire.

Ive noticed the Moto Guzzi Fast Racers have a similar X pipe exhaust but they come up and extend well into the rear tire. Id like to keep the bike as minimal and clear in the rear as I can.

Exhaust building is not only is a black art, but if you want it to perform well, you’re talking a lot of time and money to do it properly. The 8V engine has high exhaust velocities, which favor short exhaust lengths (think top fuel cars). The lazy heron head has slow velocities, and prefers a longer exhaust length. The hemi head has moderate, so a shorter than average free-flow length can work. Exhaust pulses come into play (not “back-pressure”). Most all motors I’ve been involved with seem to respond well to stepped (increasingly larger diameter tubing) headers.
If you don’t care how it sounds or performs, much less having the fueling correct/sorted, someone might hack you something together for you for cheap.
If you want it done right, it will cost significant $. If you’re willing to spend close to what my X-Fire cost, I can build you something that works. I have a dyno, and I have the knowledge and skill to also build a fuel map for it; At an additional cost of course. If that interests you, feel free to email me direct; Info @GuzziTech.com
