Here is how I went about mounting my Zumo GPS. It places the Zumo just below eye level.
Get hold of an 8mm threaded rod and 4 nylock nuts to fit, cant rember the exact size but its easy enough to cut.
Screw a nut on each end, screw on far enough to allow the rod to be slid into the screen upright height adjustment slot.
Screw the other 2 nuts on the ends.
Turn the inner nuts to take up the slack. Turn them so they just but up against the inside edge of the screen upright.
Tighten the outer nuts, this should leave the rod tight in the uprights without distorting them.
I wrapped a few turns of electricaltape rount the threaded bar so the Touratech mount would stay tight when bolted to it.
The bar is now ready to accept the Touratech mount.
Thats is more or less, many variations could be used to fit a rod between the uprights.
The only annoyance I have found is the indicator warning light is hidden by the GPS.
I chose the Touratech mount for the following reasons:
> Its lockable
> It has neoprene discs that act as shock absorbers
> The placement allowed me to have the Zumo at a high central level
