Hello.

Have someone tried to disable the rear ABS sensor with a switch ? (or some other method to disable the rear abs).

With the fuse out both front and rear ABS are disabled (obviously) but I would like to occasionally disable the rear abs (mostly for some off road stuff) but keep the front functional.

Your question confirms that I am easily confused about such things.

Is not the ABS system (at least on motorcycles) intended to avoid locking one wheel by keeping braking forces essentially equal? Is that not done by the ABS analyzing the data from both wheels and adjusting the inputs to each to achieve that "equality?"

If so -- and, heck, maybe that's NOT what it's all about :think: -- I am nonplussed by how disabling one wheel would do anything but disable both.

OK, enough. We are visiting family in N.C. and their Golden Retriever wants me to get back to back to playing ball. :giggle:
