Agree. If they released a new cruiser based around that engine, I'd be at the top of the pre-order listInteresting, if based on the V100 engine it could be a winner.
Moto Guzzi neither desires nor would be able to capture any market really. Not sure if a one litre engine will be large enough to capture the cruiser market but I wish the attempt well.
Chris.
Steve, the EV is a cruiser.Screw the normal cruiser market. There are plenty of overgrown, gargantuan bikes. Give us a 550# wet modern Ev.
@john zibellSteve, the EV is a cruiser.
That's correct Scott.@john zibell
I think he is saying, make a lightweight cruiser, like the EV and stop trying to build 700+ pound MGX-21 type monstrosities like HD does.
Who the hell needs or wants a 900 pound Moto Guzzi tourer?
Hey Scotty,Moto Guzzi neither desires nor would be able to capture any market really.
They are the very last, hand-builder of motorcycles. The factory simply cannot produce much more than it does now and they sell everything they build.
It truly is classical Italian company in that they do things the way they always have.
Change is a complicated and highly resisted thing in Italy and remarkably and rather pleasantly, the Italians don’t give a damn about being the biggest of anything.
Has anybody worked out how much they can bore/stroke the new engine? What I really want is a new Griso or Centauro and it will probably need close to 150hp to be competitive with the Streetfighter V2Not sure if a one litre engine will be large enough to capture the cruiser market but I wish the attempt well.
