TPS Fault on Stelvio NTX (2012)

Awesome information! Thank you!Any thoughts on preventative maintenance for that bushing?

TPS Fault on Stelvio NTX (2012)

Oh for sure; I trust your diagnosis.I was saying that it’s weird because you would think that there would be a connection between a loose shaft bearing and a hiccup, but there isn’t in this case.Sorry for the lack of clarity.

TPS Fault on Stelvio NTX (2012)

You would think! This is one of my Stelvio's small mysteries right now: Slightly loose right shaft bushing and a hiccup between 5-6k would seem connected, but no leak detectable with smoke, argon, or carb cleaner. 🤷‍♂️

TPS Fault on Stelvio NTX (2012)

Do you have any ideas on preventative measures for this? I was able to get a used set of TBs with less slop in the right side shaft bushing and would like to do something to help that bushing last longer.Other question: If it is sloppy enough to cause a problem, should you be able to change...

    Stelvio PC-V/AutoTune install

Then you slide it back so the connector can clear the rubber seat support and drop down next to the airbox, which will then allow the sensor to drop to the bung.

    Stelvio PC-V/AutoTune install

A few notes from my install:The connectors on the new O2 sensors have little mounting pins, but they are removable; I recommend you take them off so it is easier to snake them through the bike. You just life the right side there off of the notch it locks onto. This picture is with is partially...

    Stelvio PC-V/AutoTune install

I wanted to show this picture of where I tapped into switchable 12v for AutoTune. There is a connector on the right side of the Stelvio right next to the airbox. It is milky, white plastic adapters with a slightly pointed side. You will see two lines going into one of us sides, and a green line...

    Cooling Oil Circuit Thermostat.

Thank you both for your thoughts! From what I've been reading, the 1200 8V motors don't reach the proper operating temperature when it's under 45ºF outside, which is what inspired the various thermostat projects I've seen.On the point about complexity, there is a high quality oil thermostat...

    Cooling Oil Circuit Thermostat.

Uh-oh!Once I find the best place to mount the thermostat, there is a really great shop here that specializes in oil lines for race cars that will set up all the lines and fittings for only about $100. Should be pretty straight forward? Maybe not?I am a busy guy, but this bike is my primary...

    Cooling Oil Circuit Thermostat.

Yeah, that’s what I’m noticing! :DDo you have any advice on how to fasten the thermostat? I was thinking of drilling holes in the alternator cover and using small bolts and nuts to attach it there (if there is enough room behind it for the bolt heads).Boscoman’s location is cool too. Did he...

    Cooling Oil Circuit Thermostat.

Hey y’all! I just got the thermostat to get this project going on my Stelvio. Could either of you give some more details on how you mounted it? I’m hoping for upfront like @John Warner, but am open to mounting it on the side like @boscoman.Thank you in advance for any help!

Stepper motor repaired. Triangle of death gone bye bye.

I would like to contribute some pictures for how I got to my stepper motor to clean it.Take the battery and batter tray out. Then you flip the battery around and use the top terminals (if you have them) to start and run the bike.To reach the port going into the stepper, Inised a metal straw...

    V100 H20 Stelvio Chat

First real-world ride review I've seen!"This is the best Moto Guzzi ever to come off a production line." :eek:Engine Differences from the V100 "First the EFI system gets a downstream O2 sensor to give the Stelvio a Euro 5+ rating—the V100 will also get this as a running change. Guzzi...

Hole in Air box on the Engine side of Airbox. Check yours

Hey all! I didn’t find this exact problem, but I did recently find the bottom drain tube had broken off, the side drain tube was not connected and the airbox was splitting at the weld seam! Sheesh. Make sure the check this seam if you’re pulling the airbox!Included pictures are the seam...

    CalSci Stelvio windshields "Shorty"

Thanks for the report! I figured out that CalSci offers a smaller shorty for pre-'12 Stelvios and a bigger "shorty" for post-'12 Stelvios. Not sure why. I'll probably pick one up soon now that the weather is heating up.
