Hi, I have a Breva v1100 2007 and was wanting to know if a 1200 8v engine will bolt in and run? I have a 2012 8v engine with bare intake flanges, so i would have to use the injectors and throttle bodies from the 1100.

Mechanically I think it will fit. If you use the 1100 flywheel and clutch, the clutch push rod should be OK. The ECU map would need changing. As to injectors, compare part numbers for the 1100 and 1200. If the 1100 and 1200 use the same part number then the ones you have will be fine.

It can be done, but it is far from easy or inexpensive. I’ve helped our friend Jim Hamlin in Connecticut with two he’s done. One shown below. Fueling is the biggest ob$tacle unless you also use the throttle bodies, intake manifolds and injectors.

I've seen one running around Tucson, but he had a full, wrecked, 1200 Griso as a donor and swapped out everything specific to the 1200.

ok Thank you for the information. I do have the ECU from the bike the engine came out of so i will look at wiring diagrams and compare. I am an experienced auto mechanic and mechanical things are easy for me as is wiring. I have almost no experience with re mapping ECU data, I have needed to change PIDs with VAG system to make german cars work. Sounds like an interesting project for after i get one of my Stelvio Bikes streightened out.
