Hi all, I have just been out in the garage cleaning and fiddling and thought I would try yet another combination on my rear shock preload etc, when I noticed what looked like the bolts to be missing that attach the top and the bottom of the shock unit. My question is did these ever have bolts ? or is the bracket unit threaded ? I would be most gratefull if a couple of you chaps could just check your units and report back. Here are a couple of pics...... This is the top of the unit......

I think Wonder B ment that he discovered that the nuts were not on the end of the bolts, (as my original pics show) and not that he discovered the nuts.:dry:
I also checked a couple of new Stelvios in the dealers and the rear shock unit is the same on all of them, so as I thought the actual bracket must be threaded.
I was just a little concerned in the first place, thinking that the unit could have worked loose at speed and catapolted itself into my bollocks......not a pretty sight.....:laugh:

Yes, and theres not enough threads sticking out to make it look like a nut was ever there or would even stay on.
