Cruising Kijiji today for bikes I can't afford :(, it looks like there is "something going on" in Chilliwack (I assume Matt and Gord's shop).
Any intel??

Did ya mean International Motorsports? I saw they're actively hiring people atm but that's as much gossip I have...LOL

Don't do it. You'll go down the rabbit hole, have a sleepless night, will start rethinking your life choices, start searching how much a kidney cost and who would want one, how much Angelina would pay for one of your kids... and if ya have 4 of them, would the least favorite one cover the cost of Mandello V100... don't do it, trust me...

That's what I'm doing right now. I'm bargaining with the devil to get an MV Agusta Turismo Veloce. The devil being my spouse that is. What can I sell, what can I live without, how comfortable can I make the doghouse.

Wow!

I have bought many countless motorcycles in my lifetime but the idea of spending $30,000 on 1 standard production motorcycle by itself is terrifying.

The most I ever spent was $27k+ on a brand new, 1 of 300 built, MV Agusta F4 750S Serie Oro, and only because I knew I could flip her for a fast profit.

However, I have never spent remotely anything close to that on 1 motorcycle ever again.

Good luck with that one!

I saw something recently on FB from them that said they were opening a shop in Chilliwack. I'll post it if I can find it again.

Ahh, the Brutale or nothing. My dealer has a couple of MVs on the floor. I make it a point not to linger anywhere near them. They also have a whole room full of Ducatis. The MGs are with the rest of the riff raff. Lol Although my Navale stood out from that sorry bunch, caught my eye and followed me home.
kk

Reading my own post, what was I asking?? Yes, there was info on Moto Int.s site of a new location in Chilliwack. Maybe our secret agent in Mission has something on that :) .
Turned into a fun thread after that!!
Having sold my Buell (I'll miss that engine), I am lost for ideas. Nothing wrong with two Carcs though! Newer stuff does not tug at me, and I am sooo over old bikes. (Yam's MT-01 looks interesting).
Sit perfectly still, crack a cool one and wait for the moment to pass. :whew:

and I am sooo over old bikes.
I have discovered honesty at 58 years of age that I too have come to the conclusion that vintage motorcycles enthrall me in a museum or parked outside the Rock Store or a urban cafe, but when it comes to actually wanting one of my own again, I am resolved in my conclusion that I am over those days. Nowadays, I want motorcycles that I simply turn the key, fire her up, and ride with little to no concern about reliability or issue on a trip.

My 1991 BMW R100 Classic is as vintage as I care to get as that motorcycle is absolutely bullet-proof as all last generation BMW R100 engines are.

Secret Agent reports....International are taking over the Mountain View Kawasaki/Suzuki/KTM/Honda store as they are moving across the highway and this a ready built store for a Vespa/Ural/MV/Triumph/Zero/Moto Guzzi/Aprilia/Indian/Gas Gas /Husqvarna store. You know, a specialist dealer with mechanics familiar with a single brand of motorcycle

ha I'm moving completely in the opposite direction... having lost all interest in anything made after 1983 or so.

Well I spoke too soon. Today I bought a stunningly beautiful mint condition 1989 Mille GT with 2,427 original miles. I will have to reseal the motor and gearbox but I know a mechanic who works cheap! 😆

I’ve lusted for one since the day I walked into Pro Italia in Glendale and saw a brand new 1989 in red just like this one. At $6995 back then, at my age, it was truly a pipe dream.

Now, I’m reliving my youth!

God help me…

I like to admire older motorcycles that others ride, but don’t want to deal with carburetors and AZ oxygenated fuel blends (several different blends during the course of a year). Therefore, I stay with electronic fuel injection (with oxygen sensor feedback) for my daily riders.
