correct idling for a nevada classic

Can some 1 post me or email me the correct idling at rest of my nevada classic ,and how to tell when I have got it correct ,as again it seems to be idling below the supposed correct idling od 1100 .I did paly around with the idling screws ,and go it idling at around 1100rpm atm ,but dont think it will last ,so is it a drama to get it right ,let me know Peter.

You have the same engine as mine (V7 Classic)
and idle is adjusted with an Axone-computer only, as far as I know.
I'm afraid you 'll have to find a dealer with an Axone

It's hard to adjust the idle on these, as the CPU (bike's computer) tries to keep the idle where it likes. Some say you can adjust the air bypass screws on the throttle bodies, but that can lead to rough running if done willy-nilly.

Do a search here for "manometer" or "throttle body synch" and it should get you some postings on synching the throttle bodies. This is done with the air bypass scews. It won't change the idle greatly, but will improve the bike's running and the instructions show the use of the air bypass scews.

It's also cheap to do, as the equipment can be homemade for just a few dollars.

I don't use the bypass screws to synch the throttle bodies. I do follow the procedure in the training video found here

basically this:
close both bypass screws and bring the revs up to 2000-3000 and adjust balance with the adjustment screw under the left throttle body. This is NOT the sacred throttle stop screw BTW. It is the one the guy in the video uses. Then bring the idle up by opening each airbypass screw an equal amount and giving the bike a little time (20 to 30 seconds) to adjust itself to the new settings. open the screws until the idle is 1100 or so RPMs. I've only needed to do it once in four years so once it is set properly then it seems to stay that way.

You need axone or VDST or navigator to set the TPS but you can adjust the idle manually with the bypass screws.

If you just want to adjust the idle you should be able to do so by closing both bypass screws and opening them equally in small increments like 1/2 or 1/4 turns giving a little time for the ECU to adapt, about 20-30 seconds with the bike at idle, between adjustments. Be careful that you know which screws you are using, the ones on the underside of each throttle body are the correct ones, as one in particular is not supposed to be touched. If that does not do the trick I'd start looking for air leaks or other problems.

That is what works for me and my little breva in any case. YMMV.
