Fortunately this issue only affects the bike intermittently when the sidestand is down and I need to run the engine (hardly ever--my routine is up on the bike, sidestand up, hit the starter and GO). After 23K miles, I know where neutral is by feel. Nonetheless, I removed the fuel tank and airbox and still could not locate the neutral switch on the gearbox. According to the service manual, the switch is adjacent to the gearbox vent fitting but my '09 only has the vent fitting. Can anyone set me straight on its location? Thanks.john zibell said:Check the connection at the neutral sending unit.
