Hello Campers! Greetings from Rome.
It’s so nice to be back in Italy again.
Although looking at photos of Italian motorcycles is exciting as can be to an weird old bird like me, there is a certain joy in another type of photo, one of real Italian food!
I very rarely eat Italian food in a restaurant in America because it’s never really Italian food, at least not anything I recognize as such.
Last night, as it was my first night in Rome with my other half and my oldest sister, I splurged.
This is a brief photo collage of real Italian food we ate that I wish I could eat in restaurants in the USA.
You “Foodies” out there may recognize salumi e formaggio, stuffed squash flower fritters, vegetable white lasagne, bucatini, gnocchi, beef filet in green peppercorn sauce, insalata verde, mixed grilled meats, roman artichokes, oh the massive deliciousness.
Needless to say, I am a happy camper again and I am warning my family that I may never return to the USA. The thought of getting on a plane to return to the States, is just something I cannot contemplate at the moment.
I may just send a postcard to my sons marked “Send Dogs and Motorcycles. Sell the rest!”
Yes, it’s wonderful to be back in Italy.
