I just wanted to show off my custom cruise control setup that a friend machined for me this past weekend. The knurled piece threads up against the grip and grip sleeve putting tension on it to hold in place. He also machined in a groove and added a rubber o ring that acts as a lock to keep the knurled part from virbating loose or out of place. Best part about it is that it looks like a factory piece! Its the same size as the original bar end.

Very nice. Post if your friend wants to make some more and sell them. I would be interested in buying one. Thanks

Im not sure if he has seen those or not but looks like a similar setup except mine is more oem looking :D

Wish I had a machinist friend; nice work. Appears to operate the same as the Throttlemeister which would make it a great piece.

Looks like a great piece of workmanship, but... possibly naive question: is it really advisable to install a throttle-locking mechanism of any sort on any motorcycle under any circumstances? To me it sounds like looking for trouble (possibly of a very serious kind)...

The Throttlemeister does not really lock the throttle in the sense you have to undo something to move the handgrip. It is a friction fit that is adjustable and is easily backed off in an instant with your palm. Relative small risk IMHO (much less than the risk we all face when entering an intersection ;) ) and makes highway touring a lot more pleasant (don't use it around town).
