Just wondering if anyone had done this and what they did to get aftermarket indicators to fit on the front. I am working on my own solution to this issue.
The problem is that the standard indicators have the bolt to attach the indicator base and a separate lug which the wiring comes out from. Most indicators of course, the wiring comes from the centre of the mounting thread. The mounting thread is too short to go all the way through the Guzzi standard light fitment, and too small an aperture to put a fixing nut in!
The solution I have so far is in the attachment below (awful pic, I know!).
The plates (pink) are made of thin alu at the moment, but they tend to twist when I tighten everything up so I need to either use thicker metal or make a box shape with another blank. It looks messy right now, but its a work in progress.
Has anyone else come up with a better solution for this? Please share if you have!
