Been a Insulin dependent diabetic. my whole life...
So this morning dumbshit takes insulin, forgets about
it, then takes another dose before going to work!
It was a fun day trying to keep my blood sugar level above 90...
Sorry, just needed to vent my frustration at getting forgetful!

I was diagnosed as a pre-diabetic three years ago. Been changing ever since to maintain my A1C at a reasonable level. Yup, sucks to get old. Toss in eye floaters taking a turn two years ago as well as some other issues, aging seems to be like a light switch. Curious, isn’t the solution to keeping your blood sugar up after too much insulin, eating the foods you aren’t supposed to? 😉. I do realize that there are far deeper implications, glad you are around to vent about it.

I know what you mean by trying to get your sugar levels to go up . As far a taking a double dose I did that myself once and you are correct it is horrible. I found out I was type 1 at 29 and i am 60 now.My older brother found out he was type 1 at age 9. You have all the right in the world to vent.God bless you.

Yes, Pepsi and glucose tabs will bring it up quick! Real food
though is the way to go...

I'm just thankful that my doctors have been able to fix everything that is breaking down with my body so far. Two knee replacements and a pacemaker later I'm still plugging along and continue riding. My kids say I'm becoming like the Borg from Star Trek The Next Generation. One of my doctors made a 6 Million Dollar man reference about me a year ago. Unfortunately this comment is lost on the younger generation. I've seen the billing to my insurance and I'm not quite there yet with that cost of all of this, though it wasn't cheap. And as several other have mentioned, it beats the alternative.
