Need a rear brake lever new or used if straight.
Part GU05677030 for 2007 Breva 1100 or Norge
Thank You

Can't get it from your local dealer? I can order one for you unless you know they aren't in stock in the U.S warehouse. Price is $80. Contact me direct email if interested; Todd at GuzziTech.com

I can but its $89. Mine is twisted from a slow lean over in the garage but works. Not really wanting to try and twist it back as it will probably break the pot metal casting.
Pinwall doesn't curently have a used one in stock. Gutsbits is $78 but has to cross have the globe to get here.
So not in a real hurry but hopefully I can find a straight used one.

OK, well I can get you one too for $80 + $7.95 shipping. I highly doubt you'll find one straight and used, as the only reason it would be removed if it were bent. $80 is about half the cost of the one from the Stelvio/Griso... so feel lucky. ;)

Levers seem to be made from very good alloy as I have had to straighten a brake lever off a 1200S and a very bent gear lever off my 1200S and can tell you that unless it is bent in half you should have no problem bending it back.

I just removed lever, but the pinch bolt back in and put the shaft end in a vice fitted with soft jaws.
Then using a 12" adjustable wrench I fitted the jaws over the lever up near the toe end and twisted it back until true.
I even had to put my lever in a press to bend it down more after removing the twist !
You will find you will have to over bend it as it will spring back a bit and use some tape or plastic sheet etc to protect lever from being marked by Jaws.

Good luck.

Don't try and straighten the brake lever with it still on the bike as you may break the pivot bolt (from experience.!!!) BUT the levers do straiten well with a fair bit of force in a vise or press.

Apply heat first and the job will be easier ........................... and more successful, meaning less chance of breakage.
