My wife is picking her new 2012 Norge up on Saturday, June 1. She has recently sold her Breva 750 to a caring home in British Columbia so she was less sad to see it go knowing it will be in good hands.

She had only one condition when it came to purchasing a replacement bike and that was there would be no new bike shopping until the 750 sold. Well, it sold and the shopping began as we have an Alaskan trip planned for July. After looking through webpage after webpage, she settled on a couple of different bikes. And after doing sit testing and test rides, she had narrowed it down to 2 choices, a black 2013 Norge (Black is the only colour available in Canada for Norge) or a white 2012 Norge. Even though it is a longer trip to pick the bike up, she preferred the white 2012.

With all the motorcycle options on the market today, she was most impressed/happy with the Guzzi. :woohoo:

Now, that being said, are there any recalls that I should be specifically asking the dealer about that should have been carried out by now?

Are there any issues with that year of Norge that I should keep an eye out for?

Thanks for any and all information that anyone can provide.

Brett

Congrats to you and your wife Brett. The N8V has been largely problem free to my knowledge.

I would insist that they do a full set up (valve lash check, TPS set, etc.) before taking delivery. Most dealers charge for a PDI, yet just pull it out of the crate and put fuel in it.

Keep us updated, and do post a pic when she takes delivery (with a picture!). I'll be fully reviving the Registry fully and I'll be looking for your info.

Congrats on the 2012 Norge. I just purchased a 2012 white Norge a month ago. Just love it! :D Picked it up from a dealer in Chilliwack B.C.
As far as any issues regarding the bike, I haven't had any or heard of with the exception that the suspension might be a little soft pending what the rider weighs and if they have a pillion with luggage. Myself I'm 170 lbs, my wife is about 115lbs, for me the bike handles just fine.
Anytime your heading down to southern B.C. give me a shout. Heres a pic of my Norge. :)
