Bought this bike last summer, was a left over 2016 in stock. This could be normal (Guzzi delete on newer models) or could be a Monday morning or Friday afternoon build issue at the factory. Or maybe the dealership parts/service dept cannibalized an inventory bike for a discrete part...

I installed a new OEM air filter the other day. When I was getting the part number from the parts catalog schematic, looked like there's supposed to be a gasket for the air filter lid, p/n 890513. No such animal on my 2016. The inside of the air box is pristine and clean, so doesn't seem an issue since the filter bracket (06114200) seals down the foam gasket of the oem air filter very well.
I ordered one from a dealer, anyhow.

LOL! Hey der dat's a Gootzie for ya!

It's the only brand I owned & rode since the 70's & I have often wondered if other brands had similar stories.
About 4 years ago I got into Victories & yes they are very much like the Guzzi's.

Really bummed that Polaris dropped Victory they are a very fine motorcycle.
