Was at my local Guzzi Dealer today, and saw a few Stevios with hand guards. I asked the parts guy to see one and to see if it will fit. Bottom line, they do, with little issue. Bolt straight on with a fender washer or the Stelvio end cap washer (beveled) and a 10mm longer bolt. Just need to unbolt mirror stalk, take the bolt out of the bar weight, then put it all together.

Waiting for the end cap/washer to take some pics. They had to order them. Very happy the hands will stay warmer! I had a set of aftermarket ones on a Concours back in the late 90's but they were hokey looking. These are sharp and match the bike perfectly.

Year round riding here I come! Heated grips, seat, plus sized windscreen, ABS, now hand guards............. Toasty............ Anyone else done this?

I put a pair on my sport, they are great for top of hands but the thumb still got very cold (numb) so I have gone with the barkbuster fabric ones.
Quicker to add/remove with more wind Protection

I have the Stelvio ones on my Griso, but have been thinking about adding to Norge, too, tho aware of some fitment issues. Will muse on bulldog's post.

AS for fabric BB's, is this what you have?

Thanks.

If the Stelvio guards do work I'd be interested if any problems. I have the Barkbuster Storm units on my V-Strom and they work great. While the Norge has better wind protection for the rest of me the V-Strom keeps my hands warmer with the Barkbusters and Oxford heated grips. I see they list a Storm with just one mount to the end of the handlebar for the Stelvio.

I have Barkbuster Storm on my Sport, along with the white LED running lights and Amber LED blinkers - works a treat when coupled with heated handgrips (factory). Though the switch for activating the handgrips is a right royal pain on the Sport...

Yes that's the ones , they are very stiff and do not collapse even over 100mph.
Thick wire in the edge piping allows it to be formed around the mirror stem and draught excluders (hook and loop attachment) are included which I used on the clutch side. Plenty of bar end expanding collets included in the kit also ( I just used a provided spacer and screw straight into the guzzi bar end plug.
Very easily removed for warmer days.

Thanks for that and the pix. Now only a "fi$csal i$$ue." Kathi's been spending on the grandkids like a ... [political comment self-deleted ;)]
But would they clear the screen on a Norge? There is not much room at full lock.

Sport and Norge tanks are identical, so I guess it's the bars that cause the contact problem. Would think that the fabric construction, even with the wire stiffeners, would be "soft" enough to avoid damage, especially as one (at least I'm not) isn't at full lock often and usually only while moving the beast around the garage.

I may let you know if I can get a set installed anytime soon.

OK, report time. I havent ridden yet and the project is not complete, but I have the guards mounted and things are looking very good.

I originally bought just the guard, not wanting to order parts I did not need. Here is what I discovered I needed the end cap washers for the guard and a longer bolt (85mm works perfect). I ordered the washers through MI, and the SS bolts online, I think I spent an extra $8. By the time I bought all (biggest expense was the guards from the dealer) , I was well above this kit from AF1 https://www.af1racing.com/store/Scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=51928 . But it was an impulse buy, not a researched one and I need to support my local dealer...... My normal obsession of bargain hunting will re-ensue on the next purchase ;-) But had I do it again, I'd just go with AF1, it has all you need

There is some interference from the front of the guards and the fairing and windshield, but both are easily addressed. As Norgians know you can rotate the whole grip/lever/mirror stalk in the handlebar riser. I loosened the bolt on both sides and 'rotated' the whole assembly so that the 'point' of the handguard fit in the "V" between the Windshield and fairing.

I have the large Moto Guzzi shield, and after adjusting the angle so the guards just clear the fairing, in the lowest position the left guard (right turn) touches the edge of the shield. If I had the standard shield it would likely clear the screen. I'm not too worried about this as I almost never go to full lock unless I am parking or moving in/out of garage. In that case, I may just raise the shield an inch or two. I am still waiting for the 'end cap' beveled washers to come in, so temporarily am using a 1/2" fender washer. The Beveled washer fits into the guard where it attaches at the bar end weight, and centers it on the bolt with a finnished look. As you can see in the kit there are also special mirror mounts that screw down into the guard, but I diddn't get them.

So overall, I'm happy with the addition, and hope to be even happier on those cold days......

Is that a later 4-valve Norge? They have higher bars than the old 2-valve (which I have). I managed to get a pair of Barkbusters on to my bike after some serious butchery. I now have bar risers, so slightly more clearance. When fully sorted I'll post picture.

Yep, as in my sig, is a 2014

I've had the Stelvio guards on my 2008 for a long time. I use the HeliBar risers, and all it took was a small rotation of the controls to line the guards up so they didn't hit the cowl. I did do a little extra work at the bar ends since I have the Throttlemeister heavy units; I used a combination of SS and rubber washers to allow the throttle lock to work properly, combined with the appropriate machine screws and bar end beveled pieces so it all looks good.

I added an amber 12" LED strip on the guard and wired it into the turn signals for each side. Much more noticeable than stock, and it shows the signal both forward and sideways at a height people will see in traffic.

I just installed Stevio hand guards on my GT8V. Ordered from dealer. Kit included everything I needed. Took 30 min. Good to go.

funny thing, y'all are putting the Stelvio hand guards on non stelvio guzzis, I put the Shiver/Dorsoduro hand guards on my Stelvio. The complete kit was super cheap - about $32. They cover less but I like the way they look. Plus heated grips and gloves defeat the cold when needed. Had the stelvio handguards on my B11.
