Hi all

Just wanted to thank everyone for all your help over the last 12 months since I got the norge but I have now decided to change it for a brand new triumph sprint gt.

As always the forum has proved helpful when I needed to know something and when solutions were required.

Good luck on your new ride.

A friend of mine bought an ST GT a couple of years ago. Great bike, but his mistake was to not test ride it extensively, he's in in 50's and has rheumatoid arthritis, so the bike turned out to be a big mismatch for him 'cause it requires way too much effort to ride in the twisties. After an hour he had to get on a B11 just to finish the ride. It exhausted me too and took the joy out to the ride, yup my bone creak too, though I wish I was young enough to enjoy the power.
 
I really thought I wanted a Triumph Sprint ST/GT. When my previous bike died, I went to the Triumph dealer and he talked me out of it, his idea is that it is much more of a Sport bike than a Touring bike. I'm 59 and have some physical issues, and a sport bike is not what I'm after. The Norge was right next to the Sprint GT in the showroom, and was a way better fit for me than the Triumph. Very comfy and great handling bike. The Triumph GT is less $$ but really a different bike in many significant ways.
