I have a 2022 V85TT Anniversary edition (same as Centenario) that came with MG aluminum top box and panniers.
They provided 5 keys for the boxes when I purchased the bike.
The keys are extremely brittle and 3 have already broken in half - I am not being particularly rough with them.
My local dealer was only able to recommend replacing all of the locks for almost CDN$300 which seems like a waste since I only want to get some extra keys as back up.
Any suggestions? I have the code on the keys. but have not found a source.
Any tips appreciated!

Thanks. It is a bit of a specific key but I will definitely give that a shot.
I had been hoping that since there was a number code on the key, it might be replaceable through an online source - but I have come up empty.

Hi Vagrant - Locks are well lubed (figured that out after first key got stuck).
I am babying the others but do not want to be stuck if ever on a trip (and I always bring a spare on road trips).

Maybe post your key code and those of us that have extras could see if any of ours match and sell / donate / ship to you? I know I have three just taking up room in a drawer in the garage.

Honestly…I know for a fact that an old school locksmith shop can make more keys. I’ve had it done. They are not the exact shape of the OEM keys but they are functional.

All 4 of the locksmiths at the shop I go to are all silver haired gentleman. They’ve been locksmiths for many decades.

Thanks very much. I have a locksmith up the street from me. Functional is all I need!

Thanks! I'll try the local locksmith first.
