Hey all, I've had a search, but either my fu is weak, or this hasn't been asked before.
Will a V9 engine fit in a 2012 V7 frame?
if not
Will a V7iii engine fit in a 2012 V7 frame?
My bike is very customised and I have a lot of time, money & effort invested in it, but want a bit more umph, not that the V7iii would add much, but the V9 would give it a boost!

Might be easier to return it to stock, sell it, and buy a V7-III or V9. The V9 was only spec'ed at 1 hp greater than the V7-III. I doubt if you would notice it.

Perhaps you could shoehorn a V85 motor in? An extra 28 hp compared to the V7-III, according to the manufacturer.

The biggest issue you will likely have is that the cylinders/heads would hit the fuel tank. They are massively bigger. As you may know, Guzzi rotated the motor down for the Mk II... too bad you don't own one of those, as it would be likely plug and play.
I've done a ton of work with the V7's, all of which I have well dyno-documented on this site. I would recommend doing the GTM 820cc big bore kit and GTM ported heads and call it a day, or buy a V7 III and do the 820cc piston kit I offer for those. The lazy long-stroke V9 feels sluggish compared to a big-bore V7.

Sadly with the frame, suspension and wheel work I have done to the bike, returning to stock isn't an option. Ty though :)

Ahh, I thought the big bore kits had been discontinued... awesome stuff. I am in the UK, so sadly would not be able to get you chaps to do the big bore conversion. Would I be able to take the pile of bits to a rebore company and get them to machine my cylinders and cylinder heads?

Read the paragraph link. I can offer an exchange program including refreshed cylinders and ported cylinder heads. I'm sure you can get the services done in the UK, just a bit of work and trust finding out who is good enough to (want to) do the job.
Send an email if truly interested; Info at GuzziTech.com
