Anyone know if the alloy wheels from a 2023 V7 850 stone are a straight bolt on to the wire wheeled 2023 V7 850 special ?

Thanks.

I enquired about the same on my 2021. The answer is yes. AFAIK there have been no changes to the wheels since the models were launched in 2021. In the UK the set of bare cast wheels with bearings was about £1k; I couldn’t justify this so didn’t bother. There were no used ones available. And no, 750 V7 ones are not the same. It’s a pity M-G don’t offer a Special with cast wheels. I’m sure it would sell better than the existing one because people are put off tubed tyres. Dealer wouldn’t swap when new either.

Thanks Speciality for the quick response, I`ll keep trawling e.bay and hopefully a pair will turn up. Like yourself I am weary of tubed wheels ( I do know about the mod with rim tape etc ), the last time I punctured a tube I had to wait over 4 hours in a main town for the breakdown truck to turn up.

Best Regards.

They can be had from us new for $450/set (front and rear complete, no valve stems). Problem is no stock in the US at the moment. If you can wait and want a set, contact us via the (GTM) STORE at the top of the page. Cheers.

Really? That’s one hell of a price difference! No wonder we talk of rip-off Britain. I’ll investigate that when they’re in stock. It should be a big saving even with shipping.

If you use the contact tab at the Store to inquire about the wheels, they will probably let you know when they are in stock in the US.
