Just got it firing!
I just returned from an 1848-mile ride up into the furnace of N CA, NV and central OR., and all I can say is that I have no regrets about my purchase, of the Madello S. I didn't baby the bike during the ride & it was always ambient HOT. I kept my eye on the temp gauge early, but then grew confident that all was well there. The bike handled the hot temps much better than the rider.
After I purchased the bike from the great guys at Munroe Motors, I did more than a few local rides to set the suspension to what I felt was right for me...plus set the high beam so it would be useful if I had to do some night riding (not something that I planned on...but you never know)... it was way high as delivered to be of any use other than star gazing, so other riders might have the same issue & should check.
No oil consumption noted, engine pulls strong & no issues during a 90+ ride up into John Day to get to my check to my check in time. Bike is rock solid at speed for me.
Things I liked (or not)...
....the fairing set on low for my height (6') was the best.
... the gauge cluster was set for 20-year-old eyes. Hopefully I can enlarge the RPM numbers.
... I still fumble through all the programs, but I'm a Neanderthal when it comes to that shit.
... Tires are great as far as I am concerned. No issues there.
...gearbox once I had some miles on it was super smooth, I haven't tried the no lift shift program yet....I am old school & love rowing through the gears..up & down. I will advance into the no lift soon though.
...still have to do a thorough post ride check and clean, but I didn't have any issues with that Cat bolt that has caused some issues.
Hopefully this report helps.
