New used Griso and it's leaking oil

Hi everyone, I just bought a 2014 griso with 1500 miles. I love it so far but it turns out it is leaking oil out the left (when you're riding it) side cylinder head. It isn't coming from the valve cover. It is originating lower, almost like it's coming from the screw on the side if the cylinder or the hole located next to it. What is the puropur of the screw and the hole? Drainage? Should I seal them?

(Seal pic below, Allen head screw on the left, "hole" on the right) the oil flows rearward and accumulates near the intake manifold, priproba because the fins are sloped and the air flowing past moves it backwards.

I didn't know about the oil leak when I bought it, and it has ruined a pair of pants by having oil fall all over my leg when riding, so I'm looking to fix this quick. Hopefully it isn't too complicated.

Thanks!

This has been covered on this forum a long time ago. I don't remember the fix procedure but you may be able to find it. It may be best to take it to Seacoast (your dealer in NH) to have it repaired.

Grub screws from oil passage drilling, supposed to be sealed. Backing out the screw and resealing can go terrible wrong, leave it to pro's.

I was trying to avoid a trip to the dealer, I feel like I won't leave without a $1000 bill. In what way could sealing the screws go wrong?

Should there be a screw in the hole that appears to be not plugged with anything? Do I need to just get a screw and plug it?

Are exploded view parts diagrams available for these bikes? I was able to find them for other bikes I have (Honda's)

You have been advised by V700 Steve and he worked at a dealership and went to factory training. I suggest you heed his advice. If you mess it up it will require a new cylinder. Not a fun task and may be way more than a grand. It should only be an hour or two (at most) labor charge. They have probably seen it before and know just what to do, and not do.

Hello.

Check the oil hose on top inside of cylinder tightness. Bothe of mine leaked when loosened. Looked just like yours. Airflow chased oil all the way around cylinder. Looked identical.

Could be the oil supply line on the inside of the head. If it is the grub screws, I had this on two grub screws on my 2014 Norge. I cleaned the area completely with carb spray cleaner, let dry completely and when the engine was stone cold used a wicking thread lock. This worked on one, but the other still weeps a bit. This winter I will do again and then use a toothpick with JB weld around the edge of the grub screw and head. Not a perfect fix, but better than the $$ to have a dealer pull the head, pay the big $$ and deal with whatever foulups they make.... If you have a rock solid dealer who can do it, and want to spend the $$ go for it. It's not a big deal if it is just a small weep, but the Norge body work hides it better than the Griso..
