I might be up for that, I'll be just back off holiday, depending whats waiting for me at home on return I'll come. So put me down as a possible maybe.
P.S.
would prefer the lake district or yorkshire dales to wales.

Just an additional thought, what if we met up at Tickled trout Hotel at junction of M6 and A59 for 9am. Then scoot down the A59 to Maham for breakfast at the old barn cafe?

Ok so people seem to prefer the lakes / yorkshire / settle way maybe which is good for me. As to meeting place/breakfast as suggested by Fatal sounds good so lets go with that.

Think we should include Hard-knotts pass, Kirkstone pass etc and depending on distance we want to cover in a day I have some routes for yorkshire.

Again some feed back from people so every one is happy - I think aim for 200 to 250 miles for the day? depending on road type

Looks like its sorted, 9am Ticled Trout.

However despite it being my original thread, I won't be able to make it. Had a full on couple of weeks away from home at work and get back Friday night, so being out all Saturday is a challenge :( . May happen but unlikely. Hopefully another time.
Enjoy your ride and lets see some pictures. Weather looks promising though.

Hi guys, I got back from my holiday in Turkey on Tuesday morning to be told my mother had died unexpectantly last saturday while I was away, Needless to say I'll have to dip out on the meet up this time, got loads of shit to sort out, and not in the right frame of mind for riding at the moment. Perhaps the next one, cheers, fatal.

Hello chaps. Cant make the 9th due to the curse of work. But if anyone is available for Rivington on Monday or Lytham on Monday evening give me a shout. Weather looks good up to now

Thanks for the replys, if anyone is going this weekend - Saturday please send me a text to 07798895817. Will call you to confirm time place etc, may change depending on who's going.

Thanks

Hell's teeth Fatal. Terrible news. My condolences to you and your family. Chin up

Thanks, a complete shock to all the family, she seemed to be in good health when we went away, but at least it was sudden and no suffering for her.

Know exactly where you are Fatal. All the "ifs and buts" Make time for yourself and and your family. Good luck

Sorry to hear about your bad news Fatal.

Did you boys get to do the run-out this weekend?

If so where did you get too?

I was hoping to join you but on getting my new bike home on Friday I found oli leaking from both cylinders, the right one was the 'o' ring on the camshaft end cove/breatherr and the left side was the 'o' ring on the spark plug tube, obviously the mechanic who serviced it was a plonker so I'll sort it out myself this week.

Catchyas soon

Ian

I'm sorry for your loss Fatal. My mother also died last week (funeral was yesterday), so I know what you mean about not being in the right frame of mind for riding and having a lot of administrative stuff to sort out. My brother and I have been dealing with my mother's modest estate, and tomorrow we have to go to the nursing home where she was living, to clear out her room. :(

Best regards,

Bruce

Thanks, Dan. It is tough to see people you knew to be strong, capable adults, deteriorating and becoming more child-like as they become elderly.

Best wishes to you and your family,

Bruce

Did you folks ever meet up? I live in North Yorkshire and would be keen to meet up with any other Stelvio owners.
Thanks
Craig

Hi Craig, I'm always up for a trundle round Yorkshire. I'm on holiday for a week in Scotland as of tomorrow but we can sort something out after that, Bry ;)
