    V7/V85TT/9 E4 & E5 Diag Tool Info

So I'll ask again, because you really haven't answered the question. What have you used the tool for that was useful? Or what could it be used for that is useful? I know you said it can brick your bike's computer, which in my book is a lot worse than worthless. But I want you to explain to us...

    V7/V85TT/9 E4 & E5 Diag Tool Info

So after reading all the negatives you said about the tool, to include, "Under no circumstances, DO NOT SELECT any option to reset, reinitialize, configure, configuration, renew, or anything like this." , please tell us what worth does the tool have? Because it sounds like you yourself are...

    V7/V85TT/9 E4 & E5 Diag Tool Info

So please tells us what you've used the tool for. Aren't you the one who used the tool and it left your bike inoperable without dealer intervention? If so, what were you doing with the tool that made it inoperable?

    V7/V85TT/9 E4 & E5 Diag Tool Info

This really could be a useful tool if it came with some kind of instructions on how to use it. But it doesn't. You are expected to somehow know what every function/menu item does with the bike's computers. I guess you could just try every function/menu item and see what it does, but I wouldn't...

    V100S Clutch Feel

I just bought a slightly used V100s today. Mine does what you described. There is definitely a pronounced pulsation that's felt through the clutch lever. I contacted the MG dealer where I bought it and was told that it's normal. Some do it more than others. As today was the first time I've ever...

    V7/V85TT/9 E4 & E5 Diag Tool Info

It appears that GTM has stopped selling this Diag tool due to lack of support from the manufacturer.

    V7/V85TT/9 E4 & E5 Diag Tool Info

I have the same bike as you, same year and model. This is what I've found using the Diag tool so far. When you select the bike from the list of choices, and choose "V85/V100 Euro 5" it will display the following menu items, Injection, Service Reset, EOBD, Find all Error Codes. Other menu items...

    V7/V85TT/9 E4 & E5 Diag Tool Info

Well now that I have the tool I'll answer your question, which was originally mine. No, the tool will not do anything involving the OEM TPM system. Things it will do that might be useful for the Guzzi home mechanic are: Turning off the service wrench Activating the ABS pump Being able to check...

    V7/V85TT/9 E4 & E5 Diag Tool Info

Will this tool pair the OEM TPMS wheel sensors to the bike's computer?

    Mysterious modification

My Triumph Tiger 1050 had the same loop wire connector. It was for the factory alarm which would disable the engine if the alarm was triped. On my Norge, it made the anti hijack feature of the Scorpio alarm I installed as simple as cutting the loop and then adding a connector. It seams to be a...

    Norge vs FJR

Before I bought my 07 Norge, new in 08, I looked at the FJR, ST1300, New Concours and the BMW R1200RT. All nice bikes. The BMW was too expensive, the Concours looked like a maintenance nightmare and cooked you as you drove, ST1300 was looking a little long in the tooth and it was next to...

    Norge rear brake loss

I pulled the Norge out of the garage a few days ago. The rear brake was as stiff as it was when I first moved the reservoir 6 months ago. This may be the cure to the problem.

    Norge rear brake loss

About a month ago I moved the rear brake master cylinder reservoir to the location where the charcoal canister once lived. So far :D the rear brake is as solid as when I last bled them a month ago. Only time will tell if this mod cures the problem. If nothing else it makes bleeding the rear...

Surprising amount of oil in Norge airbox

When you fill the engine with oil make sure you don't fill the crankcase above the mid point on the dipstick. Any higher than mid point on my Norge and the airbox gets a lot of oil in it. If the oil level is kept at the mid point or below on the dipstick I get very little if any oil in the...

Did you know MG makes a rear fender extender?

    Here's a couple of pics.

Did you know MG makes a rear fender extender?

Why yes they do. MG part # GU973270000004. This slick little piece of plastic fits around the rear fender of the Norge, Breva 1100 and probably the 1200 sport. It not only makes the fender longer but also makes it wider. For those who have a MG top box on their Norge and have driven any amount...

    Pazzo levers

Some have gotten lucky and were able to unscrewed the tiny allen screw. I had to drill mine out if I remember right because that tiny screw wasn't turning no matter what I did. But for the last 35,000 miles they've been on my Norge and work great. They still look like new.

    Norge power outlet

I put a BMW style power plug into the left side black plastic piece that sits just forward of the left hard bag. I use it for my BMW heated vest and plug my battery tender into the plug when the bike sits in the garage between rides. The nice thing about placing the plug there, if you intend to...

    Electronic Cruise

Steve you are the man. That is one nice write up. I've wanted to install a cruise control on my Norge for some time and with your info I might just try. Thanks, CJ

    Metallic sound on clutch pull

If it sounds like a loud rattle when you pull in the clutch lever, it is normal for these clutches. My Norge has done it since new and so have the other 4 Guzzis I've owned. I understand your concern since I felt the same way when I bought my first Guzzi, a 2000 Jackal 10 years ago.
