Just my 5 cents worth:
I've ridden 11000+km on my 09 Stelvio NTX since last September when I bought it new, I've not had any problems with it which is more than I can say for the 3 new BMWs I purchased before it, all of which were back in the shop for various problems within the first 3 months...
My 2009 NTX is dues it's first service soon and I think I'll take the chance to change one thing I don't like about my bike...The Colour!
It's the flat olive drab as per my avatar.
I want to colour code the glovebox flaps as well, I wanted whir but it seems like every Stelvio here is...
I like to take detours and stop where I like when I like so although I think that your trip is feasible you will miss out on a lot of things on the way, the odd fixed point is OK on a trip but a daily schedule seems like being at work, to me anyway.
Re: Re:Stucchi Crash Bars
Exactly
I was looking at them only today, it looks like the mount on the light is buckled, hoping I can get just the mount but probably need the whole light, if so I might get some others...Anybody know if PIAAs would fit on the MG lamp bracket?
Surprise surprise, they had one in stock at €100.60 plus €55 plus 15% for fitting = €178.94
I can buy it online for about €65 inc postage..anything I should know about fitting? :?:
I was doing some dirt track rididng yesterday, on tracks I've never been on, took my eyes off the track for a second to look at the GPS as the track wasn't showing and I was wondering where the hell it was leading...I hit some loose shale and the inevitable happened, and I took a pretty dramatic...
I'm interested as to how the Nikon 3000 lasts longterm on a Guzzi, my feeling is that there's way too much vibration for the camera to deal with. :?
I've been looking around at various photographic options and after my disastrous relationship with an Olympus tough 8000 (worked for less than 6...
Just to say that IMHO it's well worth the effort, I've never bothered before but as my Givi dealer offered me the kit cheap I thought I get it done, the friends I've ridden with tell me it really grabs the attention as they're not expecting it, hopefully it's working as well on the cage...
I posted this pic on another thread (https://www.guzzitech.com/forum/topic. ... hilit=givi ) I was told yesterday by my Givi dealer that they go into production in April and should be available late in May.
He told me originally that they were alloy but now it seems they are plastic but with an...
I've just (an hour ago) changed my rear Metzeler Tourance after 8000km (5000miles), the front Tourance looks like it's about 50% worn I'm hoping I get a cycle of a rear change and then a front & rear together, which is what I got on my 1150 GSA.
On my GSA I only ever used Tourances but got...
I find the gearing "about right" on my Stelvio, I can use 6th on most flat secondary roads and have reasonable pull from 100kmh (60mph), although I change down for overtaking purposes.
In any case I'd rather change down on the twisty stuff than be wishing for a higher gear when I'm cruising on...
I don't care what sort of bike it is, if you're not comfortable you can't enjoy it, so comfort is my most important criteria, and the Stelvio has it in bucketfuls.
Secondly the sound, and thirdly it's the only NTX and one of only 5 Stelvio's on the island.
The Blurb...
Interact Z6...
Z6...
That's progress :?:
One good point is that my son got the Interact and fitted at below the retail price of the Z6...Which tells me they aren't flying off the racks
Yes BTW; The 850 seems exactly the same as the 1200 apart from the engine and...
Thanks to all for the feedback, as the front seems pretty good my son son has decided to get a Z6 interact now but switch to either the Dunlops or Michelins on the next full swap. He'll skip the Pirelli's
Sorry to barge in here like this, i did try and search this... But found nothing.
My son's Norge 850 needs a new rear tire, the OEM was the Metzeler Z6 Roadtec, which being a fan of Metzeler I'd normally tell him to renew...However it's scrubbed after only 6500km (4050miles) which is...
Apart from actually going to the mountains to look for it, I haven't seen snow falling since 1997 and that was the first time it had snowed here in 47 years... B)
500km day planned with my son for Saturday :side: :silly:
I've not been out for 15 days due to work and social commitments and can't see myself finding the time until next weekend, that'll be 3 weeks...And I think I'm going nutz! :woohoo:
I'm getting a bit flaky right now, irritable in fact.
Does not riding affect any of you guys?
Or do I need...
Bloody Hell...are you SURE you're not living in Cyprus? :S (Although I don't think even our Gov types are THAT anal)
Welcome M8, after all that you deserve to enjoy your bike :D
I love it B) Which is why I (a) won't be buying one for my wife and (b) won't be connecting iPods ect
We usually ride in very mountainous and bad roads and are planning a trip to Bulgaria via Greece/Turkey this year, we think the intercom will help with danger warnings, gas...
