Had a nice group of 11 riders, for a trip to the Salty Dog Museum. A small private museum containing “old” cars and fire engines. A very interesting couple of hours, seeing and learning about early 1900’s cars (with some “high wheelers” - see pics - thrown in). Sears sold these. The guy in the...
I’ve had to tighten about 5 engine casing bolts, after seeing fluid seeping (that was at about 2-3k miles). Could be something like that. Especially if it just started.🧐.
@grider … I personally haven’t had a coolant leak issue (I’m at about 6400 miles), but, there has been mention elsewhere in the V100 thread of leaks in multiple locations. A lot of guys have done their own clamp replacements.
Good luck with your decision… you wouldn’t go wrong with any of the comments👍😁.
My $.02 … I had a ‘15 Norge and traded it in (along with a Pristine ‘06 Ducati ST3S) for a Mandello V100S. No regrets. I am where you are headed - retired, and taking longer trips than the working man day rides. in...
I had fun leading a two day ride with 3 buddies… 450 miles, out of Cincinnati, across the Augusta (KY) ferry, south on 19, hitting 62 (and, a detour - there were a total of 3 detours to wreak havoc on the REVER route!). But, the fun part was 1274 to Morehead, KY, and 32 out of Morehead, to...
FWIW… hehe, screen shot below, but to edit the MGCS parameters, here’s what I did…
-Go into Launcher Menu (press and hold right arrow button on left handlebar).
-Scroll down until selecting MGCS.
-Press right arrow again, to access MGCS menu. It contains A1,A2,M1,M2.
-Scroll down/…up to the one...
I posted that last summer, and wan’t clear. I slightly edited my orig post… but, what I did was tweak the Touring mode to contain the MGCS settings that I wanted. It currently opens the wing’s at 50mph now, and uses suspension settings I set in MGCS using the M1 option (there are 2 Automatic and...
@scottmastrocinque - I’m bummed to hear that! I was thinking things were going ok with your bike, from other recent posts. Go enjoy the trip, and try to not let “V100” creep into your subconscious. Good luck, and have a safe trip!
Not sure how many may be aware of this, but, I stumbled upon a quick access to windscreen adjustment. Here’s how it works…
OK, everyone knows where the Ride Mode selector button is, …the thumb button below the ignition rocker on the right side of the handlebar, next to the throttle grip (for...
Thanks Scott😁🙌… I’m usually riding KY, eastern OH or IN roads. But, if I ever head up your way, I’ll msg you, and maybe meet up for a ride/lunch. Imagine, …two Verdes😁. Oh, full disclosure, I did have the one problem on day one upon delivery - faulty rpm sensor. A $25 part, but getting it took...
@scottmastrocinque - No, I haven’t had the clutch seal done, but will inquire when I’m in the shop next. Almost 6k miles though, with no issues. I don’t know if that’s an “across the board” recall, or only applies to certain serial numbers? I’ve had good dealings with Cadre, as a customer, for...
I am a guitar player, and have played with many drummers, but haven’t heard a cowbell sound out of my V100S yet😂… But, it might be exhaust note related. Mine does pop on deceleration - but, in a good way😉. My TPM does take a few miles sometimes. Seems to take longer when I’ve been riding, and...
